Objectives

The objective for this project was to "organize, understand, interpret and graphically translate content, (information / messaging / meaning), in a logical, unified and visually expressive way" by creating an art book profiling the work of the sculptor David Smith. After researching David Smith and learning that his daughter wrote most of the text making up the book, I decided to theme my book around Memory and Love—memory is shown through the fractured and blurry images present in the books, and love is shown through the flowers and soft color palette.
